Hi goSupermodels,
Beneath Antarctica’s ice, Lake Vostok, lies hundreds of subglacial lakes that have been sealed off for 15 million years under 2.5 miles of ice, and we don’t know what lives there. Russian scientists drilled a hole in 2012, but they stopped drilling the moment the drill hit the lake. Water poured up the borehole and instantly froze. They gathered the ice and noticed bacteria (or life forms) that we haven't seen before.

Apology to our BIPOC users
We want to start with an apology to our BIPOC users. goSupermodel should be a safe space for everyone, and we acknowledge that for many of you, it has not been. We have failed you. We are committing to immediate action, and the full list is here.
We are spending this week figuring out exactly how to implement these changes to ensure real change. We are doing this in close collaboration with IG to make sure these steps are safe and effective.
We predict that we will have some more specific material tomorrow for us to work with together with IG, this material will be presented with the feedback shared with us by our community, as well as go into more specific context-based situations.
