Hello everyone! We think it's time to introduce our project - Night Crew Roll Call!
What is Roll Call?
Roll call is a nightly thread where you can chat with us and other night crew models! It’s a way to keep the userbase engaged during nighttime and a place for users to meet other night owls. When commenting in the forum users earn “points” for each day they participate!
Why?
We’ve been asked why we do it, and if we aren’t just encouraging bad sleep schedules by doing this. We are doing it for the people who are active during the night. Some of us work night shifts, some are based in different timezones, some prefer gsm during the less hectic hours, and some might be sleepless.
When?
Roll call is hosted every single night at 01:30, and usually posted in Everything else, but during our time as goStars it’s being posted in the goStars club!
Who?
We have currently five hosts. Here’s a short introduction to who we are:
snigel - “hiii im snigel, and im one of the Roll Call hosts and owner of the Night Crew Roll Call -club! As the owner I have written the club pages, including the history of Roll Call!!1 i'm mostly behind the scenes counting and managing points, but on sundays i host sniggysunday. i used to help Delphia with Roll Call so it was kinda natural for me to be one of the people who kept it running ….. but i’m just a snail”
Tyskie - “I’m the biggest yapper, but u might also know me because of my fabulous outfits and amazing bingo skills, and my never-ending love towards the community. I’m a goofy lil prankster jokester weirdo, you should never take me too seriously. I started hosting Roll Calls during Roll Call 1.0. Currently I manage our groupchat, schedules, graphics, top manager duties in our club and hosting the Roll Call on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.”
Novembervind - “Hii I’m Nov and I started hosting some nights during Roll Call 1.0 as a guest host when Delphia wasn’t able to. All you really need to know about me is that I’m the token weird art kid of the group with an obsession with pretty lamps, ghosts, spooky things and anything purple! You can usually spot me hosting Roll Call on Friday nights (as long as I’m not painting and forget about time…)

Malign - “I’m the newest addition to the Night Crew Roll Call team, and I hosted my very first Roll Call last summer. I host Malignmondays, and if I have some extra time on my hand, I host more to let Tyskie get her beauty sleep. I love random and useless facts, so if you tune in to Roll Call, you might find one posted by me every night. I’m goofy, bad-joke lover, and I have an endless love for ducks.”
saramou - “(*＞ω＜*)♡ see i'm cute! hey peeps. im def sweetest in our group and someone could say i'm little dramatic… but if u ask me it's a big lie (˶˃ᆺ˂˶) u may know me playing bingo or thg or just yap in the forums. i hosted during Roll Call 1.0 more than couple times and i loved that, so now i have my own sarurday every week.
if someone asks what i do i just say i'm the pretty face of our group ( ˘͈ ᵕ ˘͈♡)”
How did it begin?
The Roll Call wouldn’t be what it is today without the models who created and hosted it before passing it on to us, especially Jeca, JessLyn and Delphia. Jeca is the one who started the concept and was the first to host Roll Call, JessLyn kept it going for a few weeks, and Delphia hosted the longest before us and came up with a lot of new ideas that really solidified it as an important part of night time gSm. Delphia and her husband also created a website for the Roll Call! On nightcrew.app you could check your streak, read about the featured model of the night, and suggest a model to be featured for a later date. Without her and her efforts we would never be where we are today! The Roll Call post template we use is based on the same template Delphia created. Even though things are very similar to what they were like when Delphia hosted, we have put our own spin on some things! We have special days that always are hosted by the same model, like sniggysunday. We try to engage the userbase by gifting, hosting raffles in the Roll Call -topic, and making sure the question of the night is interesting and fun to answer.
During our time as goStars we are hosting a nightly giveaway, so make sure to check that out if you’re awake between 01:30 and 05:00. You’ll find the thread in the goStars -club! We’ve not forgotten the day crew so make sure to keep an eye out for daytime competitions and raffles if you have other things to do during the night, like sleeping
