Hi goSupermodels!

 

We are nearing the end of Pride and the start of the Summer Party Tour. This is going to be an amazing seven weeks of fashion, fun and rewards! For now, we have a few more exciting Pride things for you.

 
Last Week's Happenings

  • We celebrated Eid al-Adha, read more about it here in this newspost by the Inclusivity Group.

  • We revealed information about goStars and how to become one.

  • A shop drop around Modern Icons dropped on the 21st, made by the amazing Hastings, goblinbazooka and St4rlet. These items will be in the shop until the end of the day on the 30th.

  • We had an archive shop drop that went out on the 23rd. There was some miscommunication around the date on which this drop would leave, where the impression was given that the last day to buy would be the 23rd, not the 22nd. For that reason, we have decided to bring back the shop drop for one day only, tomorrow 25th. 

  • We announced the Pride Guest Designer competition winners! A huge congrats to all and we can not wait to wear your designs! They will be in the shop this week!

  • A vintage goPack from this past weekend included two hairs that had been in a previous shop drop, which had caused some confusion. It is possible for shop drop items to come back in goPacks, and as both hairs had been in the shop a year ago, we wanted to include them in the latest goPack.

 
What's on this Week?

Internal Moderator Search

We have opened an internal volunteer moderator search, focusing strongly on knowledge and expertise surrounding diversity and inclusivity. The reason for this search being internal is due to the fact that we need to add moderators as soon as possible. We know that internally we have the qualifications we need, and therefore decided to search there first.

 

All volunteers have a chance to apply, with more spots reserved for those from the inclusivity group as we know they have the knowledge needed. We also wanted to give the volunteers who are either being let go or have their roles changed in the future the opportunity to apply, as we value their continued dedication to goSupermodel. 

 

To not overwhelm both the admin team and the moderators, we are starting with an internal search, but there will be more chances to apply for everyone in the future.

 

We have seen the speculation on the platform about who is going to join the moderator team and it is important to note that this search only started last week, with the deadline for applying not having passed yet. No people have therefore been chosen. Additionally, since we are looking for specific knowledge, all applicants will go through a thorough process to ensure they are the right fit for the moderator team, including background checks and a short interview in the final round. Only the Admin team, Moderator Supervisor, Inclusivity Group Captain and the Community Lead are involved with this process.

 

We hope to combat any rumours that have spread about certain individuals having already been picked, and ask all to stop speculating on as well as off goSupermodel, as targeting those by name is hurtful and opens up the possibility for misinformation to spread further.

  • We have an exciting guest designer collection coming later today!

  • A final Pride shop drop is coming this weekend.

  • DragUp 3 has started! You can still enter until tonight 23:59 CEST
