Welcome!
This is a club for anyone who enjoys or wants to look into the art of frivolté!
What is frivolité/tatting?
It's a form of lace-making from the 19th century using knots, made either by needle or shuttles. Patterns consist of rings and chains, and decorative gaps between knots called picots. It can be used to make decorative edges collars, necklaces, earrings, doilies and more. There is also 'cro-tatting', which combines frivolité and crotchet.
What do you need?
Thread and a long needle or a shuttle (a clothespin can double as a makeshift shuttle). Needle tatting is easiest to get the hang of, but the result is looser than shuttle tatting. There is no right or wrong way!

I'll occasionally post tat-alongs in the forums of (usually small) projects I work on with my notes that you can try!
This club is still a work in progress ♥
