If you want to remove older versions of Java, do it the same way as you would remove any other software from your Windows computer.

Windows 7 and Vista - Uninstall Programmes

1. Click Start
2. Select Control Panel
3. Click Programmes and Features
4. Select the programme you want to uninstall by clicking on it, and then click the Uninstall/Change button.

Windows XP - Uninstall Programmes

1. Click Start
2. Select Control Panel
3. Click the Add/Remove Programmes control panel icon
4. Click on the old Java version you want to uninstall and then click the Remove button.
