Photo Shoot

These rules explain how to play the goSupermodel Photo Shoot game

1. Game Goal

In a photo shoot you compete against three other models for the 1st place, which goes to the model that ends with the highest score.

First you dress up for the job and for this you get a starting score based on how well you did. During the later rounds this score will go up and down depending on what you and the other models do. Choosing the right actions at the right time is what it is all about!

2. Overview

When you enter a photo shoot the game will wait until four models have joined and then the game will start. If there are not enough real users to fill a game the empty places may be filled by computer models.

Once a game starts the designer, Lisa, will appear and dictate what kind of pictures she needs. Pay attention to what he says as it may affect what kind of clothes and accessories you want to wear for the photo shoot. Immediately after that, you will go to the wardrobe to get dressed (see 3. Getting Dressed below).

The first of the 5 rounds (see 4. Rounds below) begins when the dress up phase is over and now its time for some action!

3. Getting Dressed

When you dress up to meet the designer's request there are certain things you should note:

  • Timer: You only have limited time to dress up in as indicated by the timer at the top right of the screen so make sure that you find the right stuff in time.
  • Score: When dressing up you will notice a score above your model that changes depending on what combinations you make. The trick is to get as high a score as possible.
  • Clothes available: You can use things from your wardrobe (and that of your best friend if you have one - see below), but you may also use items that the designer provides.

Tip! If two or more models put on the same items in a photo shoot they will suffer an embarrassment penalty so try to find something unique to wear.

4. Rounds

Each of the 5 rounds is divided into 3 parts:

  • Communication: First you will be able to send a standard message to one of the other models. This may help you decide what action to make.
  • Actions: In this part of the round you will be able to make an action (see 5. Photo Shoot Actions).
  • Round result: Once all models have submitted their actions or when the timer runs out you will see the results of the round.

Tip! If you click through the results you will get to the next round faster and will have more time to choose your actions.

5. Photo Shoot Actions

There are several actions you can make in the photo shoots:

  • Stay cool - makes you immune to Confuse (but not Distract!)
  • Strike a pose - increases your score by +3
  • Diva Mode - increases your score by +1 and reflects all attacks (can only be used once during a photo shoot!)
  • Confuse - reduces another model's score by -5
  • Distract - if two or more models Distract the same target she will suffer -7 score per "attacker"
  • Cheer - makes another model immune to Confuse and Distract
  • Flatter - increases target model's score by +5

6. Prizes

This is what game participants win:

1st place = 12 fame and 12 goMoney

2nd place = 6 fame and 6 goMoney

3rd place = 4 fame and 4 goMoney

4th place = 2 fame and 2 goMoney

If two models end with the same score they share whatever prize they are entitled to!

Example: Models A and B end with a score of 80, model C ends with a score of 76 and model D ends with a score of 70. Models A and B will each get 6 fame and 6 goMoney. Model C will get 4 fame and 4 goMoney and model D will 2 fame and 2 goMoney.
