As August begins, we reflect on the end of Disability Pride Month, which wrapped up in July! How did you end up marking the occasion this year? If you need a refresher, you can read our introduction to Disability Pride month here!
SHOP DROP
This Disability Pride Month, new items have been added to the shop. They stay in the shop permanently and are available for 10 goMoney a piece. Some of these items have been created by previous JD's haavsalt and Terzo - thank you so much! Check the items here.
COMPETITIONS
As usual, we also held two competitions! In the first one, users had the chance to get creative and decorate different mobility aids with the medium of their choice! You can find their beautiful entries here.
In the second competition, participants wrote about their own experiences with disability, the important disabled people in their lives and other ways they connect to Disability Pride. You can find it here.
You are still able to join both competitions until August 20!

WHAT’S NEXT?
Even though the official month is over, Disability Pride is a human rights movement which continues to advocate for and connect people within the disabled community all year around. Let’s make sure to show appreciation by recognising disabled people’s unique experiences, contributions, inherent worth, challenges and complex identities. We also encourage you all to learn more about disabilities you’re less familiar with, even if you’re disabled yourself. Solidarity is the most powerful tool of humanity, and together we can make the world a little more accessible!
What did you think of Disability Pride month on goSupermodel this year? Is there something you would’ve wanted us to do differently? We’d love to hear your feedback and other thoughts!
With Love,
The Inclusivity Group
