Hiring Inclusivity Group Supervisor


We are excited to share that we are hosting an open search for another Inclusivity Group Supervisor (IG supervisor) to work alongside Slumber in her work managing the Inclusivity Group (IG). This position is paid in in-game currency, VIP, and provided with a set discount in the in-game IRL currency shop.

 

As an IG supervisor, your role is to contribute with the day-to-day management of the team, ensure the well-being of our members, work on planning for the future of IG, and cooperate with Slumber and other staff members to make sure gSm is as inclusive and representative as possible. Our goal is to hire another IG supervisor so that we are better equipped to host an open search and expand the team at a later time. 

 

IG supervisor is a dynamic role with the room to adapt to your passions, expertise, and interests, as well as offering opportunities to explore and learn new things.

What is the Inclusivity Group?

The Inclusivity Group is a collaborative space for users who come from diverse backgrounds in life. Members of the group will be from different cultures, genders, orientations and abilities, and they use their vast pool of knowledge and experiences to help shape different aspects of goSupermodel. The main goal of the group is to ensure a well-rounded perspective, allowing us to approach diversity and inclusivity with authenticity and sensitivity.  

 


Requirements And Qualities

These are the fixed requirements to become a member of the Inclusivity Group:

  • You must be part of a marginalised group.
  • You must be at least 18 years of age.
  • You must be able to communicate effectively in English.
  • You must have a wish to improve the goSupermodel experience for all users.

 


We are ideally looking for:

  • Someone with a passion for bettering goSupermodel.
  • Someone who advocates for inclusivity and diversity.
  • Someone who is able to communicate well.
  • Someone who is compassionate.
  • Someone who is able to cooperate well with our teams.
  • Individuals from or based outside of Europe.
  • Individuals with immigrant, cross-cultural and/or mixed heritage backgrounds or experiences.
  • Individuals from different religious backgrounds.
  • Individuals of different genders.
  • Individuals with different disabilities, including (but not limited to) physical disabilities such as visual or reading impairments, mental health-related struggles, or other “invisible” disabilities.
  • Individuals with knowledge and experience in the cultural events celebrated on gSm.
  • Individuals with knowledge of or relevant backgrounds and experiences related to complex societal concepts such as antisemitism, misogyny/misandry, and more.

  • Your motivation for becoming a Supervisor for the Inclusivity Group.

  • What you can bring to the Inclusivity Group and the Supervisor team.



You have complete freedom with the form and content of your application. Feel free to be as creative (or uncreative) as you wish. You can send your application as a PDF, a normal email, a video application or however you prefer.

 

Video essays should be a maximum of 5 minutes long. 

 


Information about the process

When you apply to become an IG supervisor this time around, we will keep your application for a maximum of six months. There is no deadline to apply, and you can apply multiple times during the 6 month period. If you do wish to still become an IG supervisor once the 6 months are over and your application is deleted, please re-apply. You are free to apply with the same application, it does not need to be a new one. 

 

All the applications we get will be read by the Admin team, the IG supervisor, and the Moderator Supervisors only. We will start reading applications June 9th. Potential applicants will be vetted based on the information available to us. After this process, we will contact potential applicants. These potential candidates will be contacted for a video interview.

 

 

Keep in mind that when applying for the IG supervisor role, you consent to us storing and using your personal data in the search process. Your personal information will not be shared outside of the admin and leadership team, and it will only be used in order to decide if you are fit for the role.

 

We are currently looking to hire one person for the role, but we may re-evaluate the need as time goes on.
