We have picked the wrong week to come to Seoul if we were hoping for summer sunshine to accommodate us whilst we explore the city as this week it's humid, with daily thunderstorms and just grey skies
But there is a silver lining! Seoul is such a spectacular city to shop in, man do they love fashion - it's a match made in heaven, so never mind the rain, let's stay indoors in the huge shopping malls and do what we do best: browse the fully packed, over the top, trendy fashion stores - we give them six stars out of five!
If the weather clears up later in the week, we can always jump on the high-tech subway and visit the historical Buddhist temples and magnificent palaces the city has to offer and if we know anything about Sion by now, it's that she ain't going to miss out on the street markets.
We must also find time to have drinks on the top floor of one of the giant skyscrapers - maybe Zander can spot a celebrity from there. His biggest wish for our trip to Seoul is to spot a K-POP star and if the sky was the limit, he would probably die for a meet and greet.
We hope you get off to a great start to your week with us here in Seoul.
As we progress through our destinations of the Summer Party Tour, the offering of the Pearl shop grows.
An androgynous outfit dropped over the weekend, adding to the cowgirl, the chic and all the classic, timeless pieces. And we've got more styles and surprises to come.
Are you the type that spends your pearls when you see something you like and hope to collect more before the next drop? Or maybe you wait until the end and spend your pearls only on your absolute favorite items?
Either way, I think we can all agree, you can never have too many pearls.
Welcome to Seoul: a city of fashion and thunder, a great combo, because we've got the best excuse to stay indoors and shop.
The city is a perfect mix of modern life luxury whilst also respecting its history of Buddhist temples and magnificent palaces.
Akoya expands her offering and will continue to add different styles in the coming drops, so let's all agree, that you can never have too many pearls.
