A word from the JD Saoirse
Dear lovely wonderful people,
I am incredibly happy and proud to announce that this weekend is my JD-Weekend!! It is bittersweet at the same time since this will be my final collection for GSM as Junior Designer.
I would love to tell you all a little personal story for this collection.
As a young kid I was super active on gsm under the name mizzkissy (lol, I would love to know if anyone still remembers that…). I always wanted to become a JD but unfortunately that never happened. When I heard gsm was back 10 years later, I was super excited and wanted to make that childhood dream come through. And it worked out!!
Besides Gsm, I always wanted to become a fashion designer. I think that the website also made me more motivated to follow my dreams and to pursue a career in fashion.
Now 10 years later I finished my BA and MA Fashion Design and I am currently working in Paris for a huge fashion brand as a Junior Designer. The ride has not been easy and it won’t be easier in the future. But despite some ups and downs, I still love it.
I’ve had a wonderful time as JD at gsm. The team and the other fellow creatives are truly amazing and super talented. I wish I could continue designing on the side, but it is almost impossible to combine it all. Therefore I decided it is best for me to quit.
Again I wanna thank you all so much for a wonderful time as JD!!! Never stop dreaming and always follow your passion! And I hope you all love the JD collection that I made!!
