It has come to our attention that there seems to be a lot of confusion on how sanctions work. When we talk about sanctions we refer to warnings and time-outs (TOs). We get a lot of inquiries to the modbox and support regarding questions about sanctions and we hope this will lessen that amount.
We are working on updating the rules and guidelines in the future but that is a long process that takes time. We will let you know once anything has been changed. Until the updated rules and guidelines are finished and released we will be using the current system, as such this is currently how the system works:
I received a Last Warning (LW), what does that mean?
Last warnings are given out when a model has been breaking rules and received enough sanctions within a certain amount of time. Those sanctions are not only TOs but also warnings.
It can be atleast 3 sanctions of the same rule break within and average of a 6 month period. Or around 5 or more misc sanctions. Severity of sanctions can shift the average into both directions.
The time that we usually look at is generally within the last 6 months but the amount can change depending on the severity and frequency of the rules broken.
When you have received a last warning, your model can be deleted if you receive another sanction within the next 3 months.
Sometimes, we give a last warning that is specific to certain rules. If you break an unrelated rule within that time, it does not count towards the rules broken related to your last warning.
I had received a Last Warning and now my model got deleted, what does that mean?
You are allowed to continue on the platform on an alt and make new models.
This does not mean you are banned from the platform. You have only lost that specific model. Banning is a separate punishment that is used only for severe cases. LW is not required for a ban as they are usually very clear cases.
If a model shows no intent to obey the rules more in the future and repeats previous offenses on new models we might consider a ban.
I received a Warning, what does that mean?
You broke the rules and you are being warned that if you keep breaking the rules there will be consequences like a TO and eventually LW.
You need to receive multiple Warnings and/or TOs in order to receive a LW.
I received a Time-Out, what does that mean?
You broke the rules either repeatedly or in a severe enough way that you received a TO instead of a warning.
You can get a TO without getting a warning first if your rule break was deemed severe enough.
A Time-Out applies to you as a person, not to your specific model. That means you cannot be active on another model during your TO as all your models are on a time-out.
What is a severe case?
Severe cases can include racist, queerphobia, high levels of discrimination, porn links, graphic triggering content, and spamming or trolling with hateful messages.
We look at everything on a case by case basis.
How do I appeal to a sanction I have received?
If you have questions about your sanction, you can message moderator inbox
For appeals contact the support email at gosupermodel@watagame.com. You will receive an email response with the decision regarding your email. Sanctions can be removed, if not deemed necessary, if a sanction is not removed you would usually get a response why.
If a sanction gets removed it will not count towards a Last Warning
Why does it take so long for support to respond to me?
Some support cases are faster than others and that means that sometimes more time consuming support cases take priority over faster ones.
During certain holidays we are much busier overall and that might end up making support time longer.
We have currently gotten support response times much lower than it was for example in September. We have received help with support as well which is very much appreciated and helped so much.
In short: Getting a single warning or Time-out does not mean that your model is now close to deletion. You need to receive a certain amount of sanctions within around 6 months before you get a last warning. The amount of sanctions depends on the severity of the rules broken. A last warning does not mean your account will forever be hanging on by a thread, it’s active for 3 months. If you have questions about a sanction ask mod inbox and if you wish to appeal a sanction you can contact support at gosupermodel@watagame.com
We would love to hear your thoughts here
Banned models cannot make new models as they are banned from the platform. In some cases we may discuss the unbanning of an account after sometime. Depending on the severity of the reasons they got banned. This does not guarantee that a banned user will ever be allowed back on the website.
