Hi goSupermodels,

We have arrived in Kyoto, Japan. What new wonders will Doctor X and Mysterious Man conjure up this week?

Don't forget, 24 July marks International Self Care Day! Take a moment for yourself, whether that's going for a walk, reducing screen-time, staying hydrated or simply doing something that helps you feel good.

We temporarily shut down model creation after threats were sent out to our users. To prevent this from spreading while we investigate and report it to the police, we will keep it turned off. When we enable it again, we will let you know beforehand.

Next stop: Kyoto

In the early Kamakura period, Zen Master Eisai introduced tea to Japan. Uji's ideal conditions quickly expanded cultivation, making it famous for producing top quality matcha for over 800 years.

Kyoto's month long Gion Matsuri festival in July honors Yasaka Shrine. Originating in 869 to ward off a midsummer illness, this popular purification ritual features traditions, street food, and parades. The Saki-Matsuri float procession happens on July 17th after the Yoimiya evenings, followed by the smaller Ato-Matsuri procession on July 24th.

Disability Pride Month

July is the month where we celebrate Disability Pride! This time is dedicated to honoring disabled identities, communities, and their many contributions. While we celebrate these historic milestones, we also recognize the ongoing struggle against stigma, discrimination, and the various barriers to accessibility that individuals in the disabled community encounter every day.
