Yesterday, we saw a lovely conversation where many of you were guessing the next Summer Party Tour location! We noticed several different suggestions, all of which made sense based on the outfit we designed for this destination. Because of that, we would love to share a little more about the inspiration and design process behind it.

When designing this outfit, our goal was to create a modern, fantasy-inspired outfit influenced by Japanese fashion rather than recreate a specific traditional garment. Our intention was to celebrate Japanese inspired fashion in a respectful way.

We also know that fashion in East Asian countries has influenced each other for hundreds of years. Because of this, some design elements, such as high collars, floral patterns, flowing sleeves, or wrap style clothing, can be found in Japanese, Chinese, and Korean fashion. As a result, different people may interpret the outfit differently, and we completely understand that.
