Ramadan Mosaic Competition
One of the most recognisable and enduring art forms across the Islamic world is geometric and mosaic design. This is seen in architecture, tiles, textiles, and decorative arts across cultures and regions.
For this competition, we invite you to create a mosaic or geometric design inspired by Islamic art traditions. This can be done in any medium you enjoy. You might draw or paint a pattern, cut out shapes and glue them into a mosaic, crochet or knit repeated shapes, decorate cookies, or work with tiles, paper, fabric, or other materials. Digital designs are welcome as well.
Let your work reflect patience, care, and intention: values that align beautifully with the spirit of Ramadan. Whether your design is simple or intricate, modern or traditional, this is a chance to slow down and create something meaningful with your hands.
