What is D&D (dnd)

Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) is a tabletop role-playing game where imagination is everything! One person becomes the Dungeon Master (DM), the storyteller who describes the world, controls the monsters, and sets up adventures. Everyone else plays as heroes called player characters (PCs), each with their own race, class, and abilities.

You’ll roll dice (especially the iconic 20-sided die, or d20) to see if your character succeeds or fails at actions, like sneaking past guards, casting spells, or fighting dragons. The DM tells you what happens next based on your rolls and choices.

There’s no “winning” in D&D, it’s all about storytelling, creativity, and teamwork. Together, you'll explore dungeons, solve mysteries, and shape the world through your decisions. Whether you’re a brave warrior, a clever rogue, or a chaotic bard, your imagination is your greatest weapon!
