yeah
well bringing awareness to unethical consumption shouldn't stop at shein and i'd say fast fashion as a whole is bad, "higher end" brands not excluded

yeah but i feel like people only ever talk about shein and nothing else… while if you’re plus size and don’t have a lot of money it’s just the best option
but you’re only a bad person if you buy from shein apparently

yeah i don't think it's productive to focus on shein only, but i guess it kinda makes sense as there are way more huge shein hauls on tiktok for example than savagexfenty hauls. but ignoring the unethical practices of high end brands def has a classist vibe. all are bad! and we should all consume less + reuse more + buy more secondhand

can you link the article or website that you read? kinda curious what factors they take into account; how the garments are made, shipping, wages etc. only or also how much is sold, how much ends up in landfill etc.
I feel like the media and social attention is very focused on Shein - it's easy to find negative information about it and even easier to condemn others for buying it. With other brands, the practices may be more subtle or simply not as well-mediated, and many people find it hard to focus their attention on multiple issues at once.

(That's why I personally think it makes little sense to condemn individuals for individual purchases, but the simplest approach is actually to criticize the industry in general and consume less.)
yeah just dont buy fast fashion all the brands are shi t
consumption under capitalism is always unehtical its build on colonialistic structures

buy what u need

and if u need it from fast fashion be sure to use it

and that it fits with ur other clothes etc

if u use it for a long time its not really "fast fashion"

we should talk about fast fashion more i agree, but shein is literally worse than any other brand...

that being said, how is rihanna's brand worse? like what is that based on? who ranks that?
