id say if he's there already for 24 hours, that means they scanned his brain (EEG) and must have thought it looked good so thats positive

and the fact that they are building down the medication and the respiration machines is amazing! it goes slowly bc your dad had a big shock of course...
im sorry for you and your family!!!!! stay strong and when you visit keep talking to him, maybe hold his hand! these things help
yeah they took some scans of his brain which confirmed there wasn't any bleeding there and the heart attack wasn't because of his brain so that's good i think. they're taking coronary artenary tests today in an hour and if there's something they'll fix it as soon as they can so let's hope for the best <3

we went to see him yesterday and we just held his hand and talked to him while crying and he like moved his hands and feet a bit and turned his head towards us but like still being unconscious so i guess that's something?

I am so sorry!
But in Finland medical care is very good and many people recover from heart attack. I really hope you father survives
I´m so sorry My dad had one almost 3 weeks ago, and he recovers fine, he takes some medication now. There is always hope and they can recover really good I understand that you are scared, but the hospital is the best place he can be right now Sending you love
I'm so sorry Wishing your dad a speedy recovery

that sounds great! good that the brain wasnt affected, thats nice to hear

yeah the voices of family members really do a lot for patients on the ICU! ive had internships there and it was amazing to see how when family members were present, patients responded so much better to stimuli!
Sending lots of strenght to you and your family These days recovery precent on heart attacks is really high. The odds are on your side

there isn't yet promise that his brain wasn't affected, just that the heart attack wasn't caused by his brain. they'll check his brain more when he gets out of the respiration machine because they can't check it yet. but let's hope for the best! if i understood correctly he wasn't lifeless for a long time, more just unconcious so that's good, maybe his brain wasn't affected in that short time.

yes they said that he responded to stimuli so well! like he does that even when were not there (like they took a covid test and my dad responded to it as well) so i guess that's good as well? like there is some brain functionality going on there
.
okay they did some angioplasty on him and then stopped giving him the anesthetization medications AND he woke up quickly and even talked and asked about us and like his heart is doing fine now and he seemed okay from what the nurse said so it's looking good! <3

Ahh such good news!!
everything's looking good now! he is awake, he talked with my mom and siblings on the phone, he sat on the bed and even stood up for a bit! he is a bit confused and talks some weird stuff but that was expected. he has short term memory loss but like he remembers stuff that happened earlier the day that he had heart attack so nothing major luckily <3
