Palestine Charity

Hi goSupermodels!

A while ago we promised to host a charity event for Palestine and we’d like to present you with three charities that are working hard on improving the living conditions of everyone in Palestine. We’d like to thank the Inclusivity Group for coming up with an extensive list of charities they thought would be suitable, as well as a special thank you to the members of the former Focus Group who initially helped set up the Palestine Charity. Staff and Management have narrowed the list down to three respected, trusted charities. However, we are all donating to this charity, so we’d like to offer the final choice of charity to you: our users.

Below you can find a description of the three charities and through the poll on the homepage you can vote for the charity you would like to donate the funds to.

UN Crisis Relief – Occupied Palestinian Territory Humanitarian Fund

Run by the United Nations, donations to the UN Crisis Relief go to their crisis-specific pooled funds and are distributed to humanitarian NGOs and UN agencies performing life-saving aid in the most severe crises. The Occupied Palestinian Territory Humanitarian Fund is one of their country-based pooled funds offering aid in the occupied Palestinian territories (Gaza, West Bank, and East Jerusalem). They provide essential help like food, shelter, and other basic support.

Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS)

An independent Palestinian National Society providing essential medical and emergency services across the occupied Palestinian territories. The organisation is part of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, meaning it receives funds from the UN as well, and focuses on operating hospitals, clinics and ambulance services for those affected by the crisis.

Palestinian Children’s Relief Fund (PCRF)

A non-profit humanitarian relief organisation dedicated to providing medical care and humanitarian aid to children in the Middle East, particularly in the occupied Palestinian territories. One of the organisation’s focuses are on aiding the urgent healthcare needs of children affected by crisis and they have funded and managed impactful projects, such as building pediatric centres.

How to donate?

Next week on October 2nd 2024, a special shop drop goes live with archive and gSm designer items. We have tried to find a mix of different items so there’s something in the shop everyone will like. By purchasing items from this shop drop with your goMoney, you directly contribute to the cause - the more items you buy with goMoney, the more real money we can donate to the chosen charity. Some might want to donate more goMoney in one go and not overflow their wardrobe, so we will have various price points in the shop drop.

Donations

When the shop drop goes live, in the shop you will find a banner that fills when you buy an item from the charity collection. When the banner is full, we donate €1500 to charity and reset the banner so it can be filled again. There is no limit to the amount of times the banner can be filled.

Summary:

  • Above are descriptions of three charities working to improve living conditions in Palestine. Through the poll on the front page users can choose which of these charities they’d like to donate to.

  • On October 2nd 2024, a special shop drop goes live filled with archive and gSm designer items. Buying these items with gM contributes to actual money donated to the chosen charity. The shop drop will have items with different price points.

  • While the shop drop is live, you can see a banner showing how much gM is spent on the shop drop and how that equals the donation.
